I have an owie

Christmas treeImage by fischerhuder via FlickrI cut the tip of my finger off today. I was cutting cabbage for vegetable soup for lunch and took part of the nail and side/tip off. Marty rushed home - being our resident cut appendages expert and all - and bandaged it up. Needless to say, I wasn't too hungry for the soup after that.

The weather was gorgeous today. 72, I think. Of course, it is now raining, but I will take rain over snow any day.

Tomorrow, the plan is to continue to bump the crap out of my finger (because you know I have only done it eleventy hundred times today), finish the dining room (almost done!) and try to go through some things and decide what we can get rid of. I can tell you, I do not want to move all of this again. And again, I will say for the record, we really don't have a lot. Just too much to drag across the country with us again.

I also think I am going to start on January's budget, although I might wait until Wednesday/Thursday when Marty is off. Is it sad that I still get excited the day before his day off. Call me crazy but I just really like having him around, you know? I am going to continue working on my goals, though.

Finally got the Christmas tree decorated today. Our complex manager gave us her tree, because they just bought a house with a giant picture window and this tiny little thing would get lost in front of it. Free is always my favorite price, so I love the puny thing. It looks great lit up in the dark but with the lights on looks a little Charlie Brownish. I have always wanted one of those gorgeous decorator trees, but really just don't have the talent to pull it off. Ah well...

My computer is still not working. Apparently, the part won't order itself, so this could take a while. In the mean time, I have Marty's laptop to hold me over, but he needs it every Monday. Monday has suddenly become the longest day of my life. I can totally go days without needing the computer but when I don't have one at my disposal, I think of 30 things that need my immediate computer attention. Of course, by the time he gets home I have forgotten all of the pressing issues and spend 1/2 hour reading Perez Hilton.
